Environmental and climate risk
Physical climate exposure, transition relevance, water, biodiversity, pollution and resource efficiency considered in the investment case.
Responsible investment
Citadel is developing a responsible-investment framework that integrates material environmental, social and governance matters into underwriting, ownership and asset oversight.
Framework status
This page sets the design direction for Fund I. It is not represented as a final policy, signatory status or binding impact commitment.
The completed framework will require governing-body approval, defined ownership, investment-process integration, portfolio reporting and alignment with definitive fund documents.
Integration priorities
Separate ESG integration, stewardship and impact disciplines prevent broad sustainability language from replacing investment evidence.
Physical climate exposure, transition relevance, water, biodiversity, pollution and resource efficiency considered in the investment case.
Labour, health and safety, land, community impacts, grievance pathways and stakeholder legitimacy assessed across the asset life cycle.
Anti-bribery, procurement integrity, ownership, political exposure, conflicts, decision rights and accountable remediation.
Material ESG obligations translated into conditions, covenants, action plans, monitoring and escalation.
Manager, investment-value-chain and portfolio outcomes treated as distinct, measurable and evidence-based dimensions.
Jobs, skills, local procurement, service access and system resilience measured from defined baselines without overstating attribution.

What Citadel will distinguish
A target is not an achieved result. A project outcome is not automatically attributable to the investor. Reporting will separate ambition, delivery, evidence and limitations.
What Citadel will not claim
No PRI, CRISA, net-zero, Paris-aligned, impact-verified or similar status will be asserted unless the precise claim, methodology and approval support it.
